Speaking to Fox News Digital during a press conference after a Thursday campaign rally in Fort Valley, Georgia, Warnock dismissed Walker’s criticism and defended the lawsuit he filed with the Democratic Senate Committee on Monday to move the start of early voting for the second round. Warnock, however, insisted his lawsuit had merit and accused Georgia officials of misinterpreting election law. This was my life’s work, long before I joined any campaign. I will always be focused on strengthening our democracy, making sure that people’s voices can be heard,” he told Fox. “This is not a theoretical thing. When you talk about banning voting on Saturday, who does it hurt? I’ll tell you who it hurts. It disproportionately hurts the wage earners, the people who have to punch the clock. And so I want you to make sure there’s equity in the system he told us. I’m saying they’ve misinterpreted the law as it’s written right now, and it would be less than responsible for me not to do everything I can to make sure that people’s voices are heard and that they have every right that they should be given under current law,” he added. In the case of a Dec. 6 runoff, Thanksgiving, which falls on Thursday, Nov. 24, prevents any voting from taking place on Saturday, Nov. 26, when Georgia officials originally thought the early voting period could begin. voting.
