Environment Canada has a blizzard warning for the area. It says 30 to 60 centimeters of occasionally heavy and/or blowing snow is forecast by Sunday morning. This weather can make travel in the area difficult. “Rainfall causes significant variations in weather conditions; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometers are common.” he said. “Prepare for rapidly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Travel is expected to be hazardous.” The area around the county is in a blizzard, forecasting 20 to 40 centimeters of snow in the same time frame. School buses were canceled in the area Friday and the eastbound 401 Freeway was closed by damaged vehicles around Belleville earlier in the morning.
