The private boys’ school near Windsor, Berkshire, told the BBC it was investigating the incident which happened during a speech by Nigel Farage last week. One person, who said he was a parent of one of the girls who attended the talk, wrote anonymously on social media that students were heckled inside the lecture theater and subjected to “racial slurs” and “general misogynistic comments”. They said of the private school students: “Their behavior was appalling.” The poster also said the Eton boys cheered Farage’s “worst comments on immigrants and Covid”. The college told the BBC it “unreservedly” apologized for the “completely unacceptable” behaviour. Farage said the atmosphere during his speech was “tumultuous”.
