Police in Idaho have revealed that an unharmed dog was found at the home where four University of Idaho students were brutally murdered. The Moscow Police Department released a statement Monday saying officers who responded to the fatal stabbings at 1122 King Road last week located a dog at the residence. The pet was not injured and was turned over to Animal Services, police said. It has since been released to a “responsible party”. Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were stabbed to death at the off-campus home on Nov. 13. More than a week later, investigators continue to puzzle over the case, with no arrests made and no suspects identified – prompting growing frustration from families and the community. On Sunday, police admitted they have no idea whether the killer is still in Moscow or has fled the area, despite the overwhelming “chaos” of evidence he left behind.

Several people were in the home when the 911 call was made
Police revealed earlier this week that the two surviving roommates had “invited friends” to the house around noon on November 13 because they believed one of the victims had passed out. More than one person spoke to the 911 dispatcher before officers were dispatched to the residence in the college town of Moscow. Police arrived at the scene and found the bodies of the four victims on the second and third floors. They are thought to have been killed in their sleep. The victim wrote about “enjoying life” days before the murders
Xana Kernodle’s friends facilitated an essay she had written for her English class to her family, her sister Jazzmin Kernodle wrote in an Instagram post. Xana wrote about hearing Louis The Child’s song Blasé at a live concert she attended with several of her friends. “It was amazing to experience one of my favorite songs with some of my best friends while everyone was enjoying life. That’s one of the most important things you can do in life, enjoy the ride, not the destination,” she wrote in the Nov. 7 essay, according to the post. Jazzmin Kernodle said the words brought her comfort as she continues to navigate grief. “I know this song means so much to her, and now so much more. It’s a song I imagine her dancing to every time I hear it,” Ms Kernodle wrote. Andrea Blanco November 22, 2022 9:50 p.m 1669151879
Police dispel speculation surrounding the murders of four University of Idaho students
Authorities in Moscow, where four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death last week, have warned the public about online rumors. Police say Monday night’s incident is not connected to the murders
Around 5pm on Monday, Moscow police responded to a call from a woman who said she had seen a man inside her vehicle when she tried to open the door. “The woman, who was with her sister, slammed the car door and ran screaming from the car and called 911. Several neighbors heard the girls screaming and came to help. They checked the area but found no one,” police said in a statement. Neighbors told police they hadn’t seen anyone get in or out of the vehicle, and a passerby informed the women that a man was chasing them and left before speaking to officers. The incident was closed as unsubstantiated, a “term used to close an incident that cannot be substantiated in the first place,” and is not believed to be connected to the murders. The slain Idaho students often ‘threw parties with lots of people coming in and out of the house,’ neighbors say
Jeremy Regan, a third-year law student who lives near the scene of the killings that rocked the university city of Moscow last week, told Fox News that the victims often hosted self-contained gatherings, adding that people were in and out of the house “quite often .” “There were parties that were kind of loud,” Reagan said. “As I was walking my dog in and out to go to the bathroom [and] I saw people in the windows almost every night, probably four or five nights a week … it was kind of a party house, but then again, this whole neighborhood is a party neighborhood.” Fellow Moscow resident Heather Tetwiler told the network that the slain students — Xana Kernodle, 20, Ethan Chapin, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Moge, 21 — would be hosting typical college gatherings, but that the residence “wasn’t necessarily a party house.” The Independent’s Andrea Blanco has the story: Andrea Blanco November 22, 2022 7:14 p.m 1669142002
Dog found alive and unharmed at scene of bloody Idaho college killings
The Moscow Police Department released a statement Monday saying officers who responded to the fatal stabbings at 1122 King Road on Nov. 13 located a dog at the residence. The pet was not injured and was turned over to Animal Services, police said. It has since been released to a “responsible party”. It’s unclear if the dog belongs to one of the surviving roommates or to the victims — Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and 20-year-old Ethan Chapin, who did not live at the home but was visiting Kernodle. Families of Idaho murder victims plead for calm as conspirators tease case
More than a week after the brutal murders of University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, their loved ones are trying to grieve — but rampant rumors are getting in the way, Sheila Flynn reports from the ground at Idaho. . “All the noise out there really hurts families,” a friend of Kristi and Steve Goncalves, Kaylee’s parents, tells the Independent. “And it leads the police down paths that aren’t real and away from what they are.” Police, meanwhile, issued similar appeals on Monday, repeatedly updating their social media posts to address specific inaccuracies circulating. Jazzmin Kernodle wrote a tribute to her sister, Xana Kernodle, who was stabbed to death on November 13th in Moscow, Idaho. Xana’s boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, and her roommates, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, were also killed in the attack. “Words can’t begin to describe the feelings I’ve been going through realizing I can’t see my little sister anymore,” Jazzmin Kernodle wrote last week. He continued: “It’s truly indescribable what happened to her and it’s so unfair. I’ve been confused and devastated for the past two days and we’re all still waiting for answers.” “It’s so hard to be caught up in the media during this time, but what I want most is for everyone to know what an amazing person Xana was. She was my first friend, my sister and my other half.” Andrea Blanco November 22, 2022 5:20 p.m 1669134936
