Swedish and Danish authorities are investigating four holes in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines that link Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea and have become a flashpoint in the Ukraine crisis as gas supplies to Europe are tight. Denmark last month said a preliminary investigation showed the leaks were caused by powerful explosions. “The analysis that has now been carried out shows traces of explosives in many of the recovered items,” the Swedish public prosecutor’s office said in a statement, adding that the findings proved the incident to be “major sabotage”....

Zwischen 1913 und 1974 verkehrte dort eine inzwischen stillgelegte Straßenbahnlinie. Am Kreisverkehr der Umfahrung Ebelsberg ist ein altes Bushäuschen erhalten geblieben. Im Moment ist es zugewachsen und kaum als solches zu erkennen. Als „Rastplatz mit Geschichte“ könnte die Schutzhütte als Rastplatz für Radfahrer dienen. Mit Schautafeln soll die Geschichte der Florianer-Bahn erklärt werden....

Four University of Idaho students found dead in a rental home Sunday were stabbed to death in their beds and were likely asleep, a county medical examiner told a cable news channel. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt also told NewsNation on Thursday that each victim suffered multiple stab wounds from a “fairly large knife.” “Somebody has to be very angry to stab four people to death,” Mabbutt told NewsNation.
